Portions, if not all, of this bio may have been taken directly from my OK Cupid profile.

My self-summary

I’m originally from the San Francisco Bay area. I'm a funny, down to earth, laid back, devastatingly handsome kind of guy (but really, in internet profiling, who isn't?). I enjoy chowing down on good grub, seeing shows and having dinner with friends.

Things I don’t enjoy include: sales tax, MTA customer service, olives, Ann Coulter, and paper cuts.

After having worked at many of the major theaters in the San Francisco area, I decided to grow my career by moving to NYC. Since moving here, I’ve had the good fortune to work with some fine Off-Off-Broadway theater companies like Coyote REP, FringeNYC and others.

And I play D&D.

...and WoW, on occasion.

What I’m doing with my life

I act in talkies and the theatuh.

I’m really good at

ACTING!!

I can write too. I co-wrote and co-starred, with John Halbach, in a two-man, 13 character show, John and Greg’s High School Reunion. The fast paced farce was a hit in the New York International Fringe Festival.

I’ve also written two full length plays ALL BY MYSELF!  One of them, Rated M for Mature, premiered at FringeNYC and was extended in the Fringe Encore Series.

Oh, also, I'm really good at sleeping in. I’m not even exaggerating, I’m to sleeping in as Michael Phelps is to swimming. ...Where are my gold medals?

The first thing people usually notice about me

The uncanny resemblance I bear to People Magazine’s 2012 Sexiest Man of the Year, Channing Tatum.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit

The only concert I’ve ever been to was Paula Abdul’s Under My Spell Tour.

The six things I could never do without

1. My cat, Spider-Man

2. wifi

3. Reddit

4. The taco truck on 30th Ave in Astoria.

5. Mountain Dew

6. More Mountain Dew

Performance History

I was in the West Coast Premiers of Craig Lucas’ Small Tragedy at the Aurora Theater and Louis Sachar’s Holes at the historic Orpheum Theater in San Francisco. I had a major role in the mokumentary Unflinching Triumph, which Sports Illustrated hailed as “Hilarious!” I’m currently studying improv with the UCB theater in NYC.

You should contact me if...

You want me to audition for something.

...Or, if you love cats and you just want to talk to someone about it.

Here’s a true story: Rene Zellweger once shook my hand and told me that it was very nice to meet me. I believe her as she had no reason to lie.

And by the way, this happened after she won the Oscar.

GREG AYERS, RENEE ZELWEGGER APPROVED!
